Nova Serra Greco di Tufo 2020

Excellent Greco, so austere and mineral. No fruit, just clean Greco flavor with very dry, stone-like flavor and finishing with a crisp acidity. Greco is not my favorite grape, but this wine is a great example. This wine goes well with creamy pasta. — 11 days ago

Villa dei Misteri Pompeiano IGT Piedirosso 2003

I really liked this. Savory. Earthy. Rich. Tannins have softened. Developing tertiary notes. Piedirosso is an interesting grape! — 4 years ago

Mastro Campania Greco

Kicking off the 2018 Labor Day weekend!
Under-ripe peach, almond, damp mineral, herb-y note I cannot quite identify. Fun bottle.

Riserva Radici Taurasi Aglianico 1998

Encore en pleine forme, sur la cerise, les herbes. C’est gouleyant, une belle surprise avec encore un potentiel pour 3-4 ans — a month ago

Poliphemo Taurasi Aglianico 2014

Rustic, red fruit with some earth; some of that aglianico clovey, orange peel herbal quality. But also hoisin and muddy notes; a bit volatile. Not as pristine as the Mastroberardino from the same vintage. — a year ago

Good find!! Unfortunately this label has a lot of bottle variations even among the same vintage, but if you could decant for 4 to 5 hours a 2008 or 2010 there would be a revelation(perhaps🤞) about the aglianico grape
Still i gave up recommending it at the restaurant long time ago to avoid bad surprises 😔😔
Big time volatile when opened

@Ceccherini Cristiano I was surprised this bottle didn’t show better and definitely suspect an off bottle. I will keep trying!
