Reserve Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2018

Excellent value and nearly everything you want in an entry level Oregon Pinot noir. A bit darker and more robust than I expected, and at 13.7% labeled abv. But quite balanced with darker red berries, some spice / chocolate notes, and slightly noticeable tannins. Lacking just a bit of acid on the finish for the freshness I’d love. — 9 days ago

Love this Monopole. Sick nose of confectionary fruit, mid season cherries, sour cherry, bright and lifted with limestone mineralIty. Gorgeous but has more to say. Palate is so supple and succulent. Elegant and balanced with awesome purity and freshness. Energetic and super pure. Awesome palate presence and incredible refined tannins. Just impeccably well made. Dynamite. — 18 days ago

Alfio Moriconi Selection Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2013

Easy finish. Sipping side-by-side with a Boen Pinot Noir blend from California, and we love the old world earthiness. It starts spicy and ends mossy in the best way. — 3 days ago

Love it! Incredible balance of fruity pear and mineral. Nice funk and depth from the skin contact. Dry. — 7 days ago

I really love this Pinot. Beautiful fresh red fruit up front with a super silky mouth feel. Ethereal and weightless. I think it has many more great years ahead of it. — 7 days ago

@Bryan Kesting I think you will be very happy with them. No hurry to open them, but I bet they are getting into a nice zone.

Sur le Sentier du Clou Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2013

Wonderful crystalline raspberry and wet pavement with a hint of salinity and herbal / citrus spritz that lingers with the faintest of tannins. I love me the books and crannies of the Côte. — 19 days ago

Now this is delicious! I love the color and amount of fruit on the palate. Another great Italian wine! Enjoying this wine on the front porch while the sun is setting here in central Florida. Cheers! — 21 days ago

Rita's Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014

One word: sexy. An absolutely explosive nose of dried violet and assorted flower petals, Asian five spice, sweet licorice, succulent strawberries, rhubarb, smoke/flint. Even though Russell is my favorite winemaker I still, up until this point, had not tried any of his Pinots, nor had any pre-conceived notions as to how his Pinots should drink. As such, I kept my expectations comfortably in check. But wow...this is full-throttle, deep, suave, and downright sensual. Freakin’ love it. — 16 days ago

Bustin’ it out of its state of dormancy. The Grassl Glass has been getting too much attention.

Seven Springs Pinot Noir 2014

I love Willamette Pinot because it’s so unique. It’s generally less fruity and obvious than California, but softer and more approachable in its youth than Burgundy. This is no exception. The nose is super fresh and a little tart. Cherry cola and bubble gum. The palate is earthier than the nose lets on with moderately high acid. I even get some black pepper and rubber. It definitely keeps you coming back for another sip. — 10 days ago

Les Brouillards Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2018

Superb tiny berry fruit intensity on a slab of stones. Superb mineral perfume. Beautiful mashed dark and light red flowers. Stunningly elegant and precise. Dizzying. I love Volnay. Palate is structured and so deep and initially a bit closed. Complex, stoney, sappy and superbly concentrated. Fruit is there but has a major mineral grip on it like so many 18 1er Crus at this early stage. Clean, compact and precise but really in need of 5 years. Now while 17 was wide open young this will not be. But what a wine. Amazing palate presence. Incredible fruit. — 24 days ago
