First time for me with these guys
Label says Mischiabacche which means "mixing berries"; i assume there would be plenty of varieties, like a field blend
The wine is pleasant, it has pleanty of fruit and it drinks greatly. I am guessing this is an entry level wine which makes it very interesting
Quite long persistence
Producer to explore for sure from a very traditional wine terroir
Wine is made with grapes and nothing else
You make the wine in the vineyard they emphasise on the website — 12 days ago
Another 2017 Arpepe winner. Stunning nose. Classic Nebbiolo. Stunning. Aromas of rose petals, tar, some earth, but dried earth, leather and just so deep and so good. Classic. Like MGM classic. Wow. Palate is a dream. Succulent and supple with just insane juiciness and balance. Pure. All red fruit and just perfect balance and sweetness. Sappy and long. And my goodness is this elegant. Maybe the most elegant non riserva I’ve had from ar pe pe. Genius wine. Utter beauty. — 11 days ago
Beautiful light color but such clarity. Nose is mega spice and old chestnut. Very complex and ethereal. Faint leather scents. Real fineness to the aromas and breadth. But air will help them more. Palate is wonderful with mid season and sour cherries but also needs to open up and flesh out. Really fine and delicate tannins that build with that earthy sweet fruit on the finish. This also has remarkable finesse. Nose gets sawdust and cigar tobacco now. Really wonderful silky texture and intense minerality on the finish. There is no shortage of brightness and energy here. I’ll be back as I know this will blossom. — 4 days ago
Pale, lemon colour.
Medium (+) intense aromas of toast and lemon.
Palate is dry, high acid, medium alcohol (12.5% abv), with medium intense flavors of lemon, toast, and some tropical notes (pineapple, guava). The bubbles are velvety.
Medium length finish.

I love 2017 in Valtelinna. It’s like how Barolo was 30-50 years ago. A throwback vintage. Gorgeous and nimble nose of red fruits, tobacco leaf, gorgeous rose florals and stunning elegance. What an elegant nose. So pure. so lithe. so ethereal and pretty. Mid to early season cherries are the main fruit aromas here. So stunning. Palate is so juicy, lithe and elegant. My goodness this is such a pretty wine. Cleansing minerality and such freshness. Lithe and nimble tannins and such stunning purity. They masterfully handled this vintage. I’ll be back as it airs as this wine has 9 lives it changes so much. Long finish, nimble tannins and stunning fruit clarity. As this airs it gets even more fresh. The freshness here is just remarkable. — 18 days ago
Old world colour and age meet youthful fruity flavors and a nose of amarone-inspired sun-dried berries and herbal undertones. Dried herbs on a velvety palate of fruit-driven delights. A lush mouthful of cherry and dried pomegranate marry crushed oregano. Sips lengthy and lovely with balanced bright acidity. Cheers for a memorable toast on a breezy summer’s eve. — 19 days ago
This is as close as I get to Amarone. I love Sfursat. Nose is raisin inflected mid season cherries. Wet earth, tar and roses. Not a trace of heat at 16% either. Really beautiful nose. Palate is nimble and elegant and super pure. Great finely woven tannins and sapid mid season cherry fruit. Some heat on the palate is to be expected. Let’s see how air deals with this. Lovely wine. — 24 days ago
