Castello di Amorosa Cresta d'Oro Vineyard Rosato di Pinot Noir 2020, California
Pale salmon in color.
Light nose of lemons, light strawberries, citrus, limes, river rocks, green apples, sea salt and earth.
Light to medium in body with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, limes, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, light earth, green apples and minerals.
Nice length on the finish with limes.
This is a very enjoyable Rosé from Russian River Valley. Nicely balanced, crisp and refreshing. Light and engaging without being bitter nor tart.
This Single Vineyard is showing nice complexity already. Easy drinking and good by itself.
Gets earthier as it opens up with an old world feel (30 minutes).
Good by itself or with food. A tasty wine that I enjoyed all by itself by the pool.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

2017 vintage opened July 2021. I’m not sure why peeps are giving this wine the sub-9.0 ratings that they are. This is a very drinkable wine with an excellent balance and a nice complexity. Mild scent of leather and dry clay on the nose. Strawberries and red raspberries on the front. A mid-level tannic structure — smooth but not smothering — which I’ve found to be a characteristic of Sonoma Cabs. Soft finish. Maybe a few afternotes, enough to consider it a “long finish”. Subtle but thoroughly enjoyable. Drinkable now, drinkable for at least another decade. — 8 days ago
There’s a lot to process here. Pours a burnished gold in the Glencairn. Unmistakably Medley/Wathen’s with that honeyed overture into clove giving way to German candied nuts and oranges. The high viscosity gives the effect of a weighted blanket to the palate; positively ensconcing. It’s hot but it’s 126.74 proof, so what do you expect? The finish is long and satisfying. Barrel 1; bottle 009/180. A fabulous pick from the Brown Water Enthusiasts. ✌🏽 ❤️ ✊🏽 — a month ago
Happy to be the first to post this. Delectable classified as a Rosé, but the HY boys say it was made as a white wine and presents as a Rosé.” Pic doesn’t capture the color. Beautiful nose, but finish a bit rough on opening. A few hours of air smoothed this out nicely. Wonderful on days 2 and 4. Part of the burgeoning SoCal wine scene. Keep an eye on these guys. Beautiful labels, better wines, terrific folks. 12.49% ABV. The NEW new California. Great things ahead! — 6 days ago
This is a nice and easy drinking Riesling from Columbia Valley.
Showing citrus, limes, lemons, spices, light diesel and minerals.
Medium bodied with high acidity. Well balanced, crisp and refreshing.
Dry to off dry on the palate with a tangy finish and better when properly chilled.
Good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with spicy food.
