"Les Oliviers" Saint-Joseph Marsanne-Roussanne Blend 2016

Stunning. Marzipan, smoke, cheese rind, lemon, almond. Very clean and chiseled but with ample roundness on the finish. Should continue to evolve for some time — 12 days ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Very well balanced and complete. Blueberry pie, tobacco, spice, and puckering tannins. I think this label was one of the best buys in Napa when it was $60 - $80 a bottle. I got a few vintages at Costco for $60 / bottle and stocked up. Now at $110+ I’ll just get one or two and wait as time seems to really help these. — 4 days ago

4 hour decant as well, still a little tight but a great match for the Ribeye, Strip & A5 Wagyu

Hell yes. Love this producer. If you can score a bottle of the 2019 or 2020 St. Joseph "Vieilles Vignes," you won't be disappointed. Up's the ante.

"Les Granits" Saint Joseph Syrah

2020 drinking very well after a short decant - beautiful full body with a very persistent finish. Dark fruits, cassis, smoke and mineral / iron accents - great quality relative to the price — 3 days ago

Domaine Faiveley (Joseph Faiveley)

Mercurey Pinot Noir 2020

Deep red color. Bright aromas and flavors of red berry/cassis fruit, wet soil, dark chocolate and baking spices. A pronounced vanilla note on the mid-palate. Well balanced but a bit short on the finish. Very smooth tannins. Young and fruit forward. Could benefit from additional bottle age. Thank you for sharing this one, Chris B! — 10 days ago
