Good acid, grassy vegetal notes. Sour beer like taste. Good summer drinker. — 5 months ago

The Vosne-esque Aux Thorey is showing beautifully at age 14, perfumed and seductive with excellent depth and concentration. It’s dark fruited, black tea and spice tinged and laced with minerality. In a great place. — 8 months ago

Substantially above a tasting that included more prestigious appellations and more expensive bottles, all in the same region and all in chenin blanc. Best VfM of a very enjoyable tasting. Nice balance and yet a subtle acidity leaving much to hope for latter years. Drink some, keep some. — 6 years ago

Stunning, lifted nose of violets, blackberry, red fruit, florals and a little barbecue-sauce savoriness, almost Côte-Rôtie-like in perfume. The palate is juicy, elegant and nicely mature, with good texture and freshness, but it lacks the excitement and precision of Sylvain Gauthier’s later wines. Unfortunately, there is also a touch of heat on the finish that I cannot get past. Beautiful aromatics, solid wine, but the palate keeps it at 9.3. — 3 months ago

2020 vintage. Last tasted 12.3.25 (9.2), 9.4.25 (9.3) and 4.10.25 (9.3). Slightly more golden and round up front. Back end picking up (?!?!) acidity since last visit. Deliciously all over the map and sloppy. We've all got a friend or two just like this. Why should wine be any different? 10.23.26. — a day ago
