I’m a sucker for gamay, and this is one of the best I’ve had. Just what you want from a really good beaujolais - bright fruit flavor, complex, and nothing heavy about it. Also thought a bit of time probably helped it mature and even out a bit - sometimes even a good Beaujolais feels a bit unfinished when drunk right away. — a day ago

Brut Réserve Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

A lot of development, riper and with more autolytic character (maybe a smidge oxidized?) than you usually find in a young BdB. Could be the 375? Hazelnut. Fresh baked bread. Green apple. Decadent. Savoring the dregs of my WSETDip D4 study collection and celebrating the end (at least temporarily) of cramming. Paired with a skillet of baked cheese. — 9 days ago
