Rosso Arcaico Aleatico Grechetto 2019

Raspberry, rose petals and mint on the nose, with a piquant punch of va. Juicy and crunchy. Long finish, and really supple tannins. So fresh, grapey and lively. A good funk; clean. Drink with a chill. — 15 days ago

Luigi e Giovanna Orviéto Grechetto Blend 2015

Med weight...ripe, rich, juicy pear/apple/ plum... nice driving acidity and long, green finish. Low ABV... nice complex finish that gains gravitas as it warms. Definitely better with food. — 2 months ago

Castello della Sala Cervaro della Sala Umbria Chardonnay Grechetto 2017

Consistent fantastic. Balanced with a zing. A different kind of chard thanks to the grechetto. Great accompaniment to the fresh fish dinner. Bright and nice acidity. — a day ago

La Torre Bianco Umbria Trebbiano Blend 2018

Diluted yellow highlighter color; farmy farmy farmy farmy goodness on the nose with a hint of petrol and bleu cheese. Silly but high acid, creamy. Spring freshly cut grass, a bit of salted butter and the teeniest hint of honeysuckle. — a month ago

Grechetto Colli Martani 2018

Lovely, light, elegant wine! Dry with minerality but not like a Pinot Bianco. Smooth finish. Will try again! Picked this up at The Italian Store in Arlington VA. — a month ago

Il Bianco dell'Umbria Grechetto Blend 2017

Last fall, I had the distinct pleasure of tasting a wine from AnneSanti for the first time. On that occasion, it was the Rosso, served blind. It ended up being one of the more memorable wines of 2020! On this occasion, I was presented with the Bianco (not blind). The wine was very light in color. On the nose, minerals, linen, chamomile, white flowers, stony, citrus and honey. On the palate, I found it to be quite brisk but in a very good way with light stone fruits and citrus notes. There was really nice persistent acid with a long, mineral driven finish that worked so well with the smoked trout. This is a fantastic aperitivo. I want this wine outdoors on a warm day with Gabin, dZihan & Kamien and Gotan Project playing in the background accompanied by light Mediterranean fare and, most importantly, some good mates. Overall, having now tasted two wines from this producer, I am eager to try them all. — 2 months ago
