Manna Riesling. lizi first 22 @4500, Dmar wave, 240407 — 20 days ago
Our Lunar New Year celebrations kicked off with this absolute beauty hailing from one of my favourite vineyards anywhere. Kabi-like sweetness with GG-level extract! An auslese feinherb perhaps?
So fragrant. Floral, herbal, and mineral (ranging from flint to sea spray), with a melange of fruits like pineapples, candied lemons, fresh limes and even grapefruits (especially on day 3). Very pure, juicy, and salty on the palate, with an uber-long and energetic finish. I felt that this was a less structured and fruiter version of the 13’ we had not long ago, but the overall profile and my love for it was similar. — 2 months ago
Very similar notes to @Aaron Tan’s from the vintage prior. It’s good but I think I prefer the whites. — 22 days ago
I hate it when storage and transports robs the potential of a wine away, but I hate it even more when it happens to a wine I usually adore. Such was the case here. There was just too much distracting petrol notes on the nose for a Riesling this young. Having said that, there was still lots packed into this wine, especially on the palate. Seriously structured with laser acidity, and very generous on the fruit end (as expected of Hubacker). Finish was quite long, almost exotic, with some minerality although it pales in comparison to the Mosel GG we drank this with. The others on the table certainly enjoyed the wine, though I can’t say the label didn’t help. — 4 months ago
Keller GGs are unmatched. These wines are incredible every time. — 4 months ago
Unreal! Especially with sambal chicken skewers. Balanced with acidity and a bit OF RS. luxurious texture and finish. — 3 months ago
