Beautifully balanced - fruit fed with long finish — 18 days ago
Takes for ever to open.
Steep and rustic at first, when open, it’s friendly and round.
But make no mistake, even once open, after the smooth soft entry, it morphs into a very animal, wild and steep experience. Not falling flap, more the opposite! Yum! — 11 days ago
Fantastic wine. Deep nose. Apples, apricots, superb floral aromatic minerality. Slate, grapefruit pith. Glorious spice. Really bright and lifted aromas. Palate is so balanced, juicy, pure and complex. Loads of juicy, apple and citrus fruit. Terrific concentration, sap and depth. Lingering minerals and apricots. For a big wine this is feather like. — 4 days ago
Deep purple colour with clean berry flavour on palate not too tannic but aftertaste and length falling away
Good GSM from Languedoc — 20 days ago
Smoky, earthy and feather and leather, coffee, gamy, cigar box. High acidity, high intensity, elegant, great structure. Black berries. Long finish — a month ago
I’ve had Enderle & Moll Pinot but, not their Rosé. Bought this after seeing @Severn Goodwin post. I like it. It needs to get some air but, more importantly, it needs to cellar for another year or two.
The color is richer - darker...shows more time in contact with skin.
The nose reveals; bubble gum, juicy & candied; strawberries, black cherries, black raspberries, plum, raspberries & cranberry extract. Red liqueured cola, red licorice, herbal notes, limestone minerals, chalkiness, grey volcanics, candle wax, potpourri with candied florals of; dark, red, purple & blue framed in violets & lavender.
The body rich & full with high viscosity. bubble gum, juicy & candied; strawberries, black cherries, black raspberries, plum, raspberries, pomegranate & cranberry extract. Red liqueured cola, mix of red & black licorice, herbal notes, limestone minerals, chalkiness, grey volcanics, dark, rich soil, candle wax, tree sap with bark shavings, mix of dark & white spice (ginger), potpourri with candied, perfumed, florals of; dark, red, purple & blue framed in violets & lavender. The acidity is a picture perfect Hawaii waterfall. The long, rich, lush, well polished & balanced finish is persistent for minutes while falling onto perfect mid spice.
One of the few German producers & regions I trust with this varietal. Climate change will continue to broaden Germany’s scope of good producers with this varietal. — a month ago
Really good follow up but, there is a reason the Italians hold their reds back an additional 1-3 years. This 09 is good but, needs another 8-9 years in bottle to show its full brilliance. It does improve with two hours in the decanter. However, still a lot primary earth & barrel toast/char.
The fruits are; juicy, ripe & ruby. blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, poached strawberries with hovering raspberries. Dark spice, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon stick, vanilla, tarry notes, used expresso grounds, dark chocolate bar, caramel, herbs, forest floor with dry leaves, leather, dry tobacco, moist, rich, turned earth, dry soils, limestone, moist clay, calistoga bathtub mud with ruby, slightly candied, fresh & withering florals that are; dark, red, blue, purple/glowing violets in creamy lavender. The acidity is round & beautiful. The long finish is; juicy fruit, well balanced, elegant, persistent, falling onto cinnamon stick, spice & earth. — 4 days ago
Really delicious. Rubber, perfume, sweet spices, ripe intense, powdery tannin, jammy, earthy, fur, feather. Very ripe berries. — a month ago
We’ve had their N/V Blanc but, haven’t had their Rose in awhile. Quite good.
Mousse is very refined. Great mouthfeel. Blood orange, tangerine, rhubarb notes, poached strawberries, black cherries, watermelon near the rind, white spice, oyster shell, grainy chalk, grey volcanics, saline, dry yeast, baguette crust, mint with pink roses dominate with shades of red roses. The acidity is lively. The finish is, pleasantly rich, elegant, well balanced & polished persistent for minutes falling into minerals & spice. — a month ago
