Ayse Brut Methode traditionnelle Savoie Gringet

S Butterfield
9.1

Convivial. Effervescent nose massage. Racy like a stockcar when opened then trailing off to cruising speed. Not serious, yet an intriguing party guest. Gets deeper after an hour. All slate white grape style. For acid heads. — 2 days ago

Terroir du Mont-Blanc Mondeuse 2014

Another memorably great bottle of this. Just two left. Will I have the patience to allow them to reach full potential? Most likely not but so good now. I love the bouquet of violets, pepper, herbs and bloody raw meat — 3 months ago

Mont Blanc Gringet 2012

Alpine sparkling goodness. No dosage. Floral elements abound, some tropical fruit, white tea and biscuit dough. One of the more distinctive sparklers I’ve tried outside of champagne — 4 months ago

Ayse Terroir du Mont Blanc Brut Zéro Savoie Gringet 2015

So good! Night one was a bit restrained, tempting me to wonder, why not champagne? Night two was fireworks... nose of fresh cut grass, warm buttered biscuits, sweet cream, bee pollen, bunches of fresh green herbs. Then, a progression of minerals and flowers on the palate, chalky at first then building to a climax of granite and buttercups and, unbelievably, blueberry. Beautiful balance. — 3 months ago
