This is easily the greatest wine I’ve had from Apuglia. Stunning floral aromas. Amazing sugar inflected purple fruits that are so complex and inviting that the nose is like a warm hug from an old friend. Stunning breadth and detail in the aroma. 9.7 or 9.8 nose. This is my 2nd bottle and it’s just brilliant. Deep nose. What a combo of spicey/floral and purple fruits. Palate is just a joy. Structured and deep. Classically structured like an elite Bordeaux. Incense on the nose as well now just noticed. The tannins here are just stunning. Sweet, velvety and substantial. Amazing length and just enough finesse to get this to 9.6.
