Hot nose, big floral, fat berry, tar, chocolate. Medium dry tannins, lots of oak, takes away a bit from the fruit. Tight. Needs to breathe. I’ll wait to score. After two hours it’s put on weight. Fruit came out and tannins became well integrated. I’d have given it a 87-88 on opening but now it’s a solid 92. — 6 months ago

Really fantastic with many years to become more refined. The 2022 Areio from Bedrock’s Evangelho vineyard is deep and dark and full of violet on the nose and light pinkish purple in the glass. It’s incredibly smooth then there’s a bite of red berry and a finish of leather and baking spice as you work through its structure. — 2 months ago

March 2024. Solid, classic, very enjoyable Brunello. Have had 2 vintages if this wine now. 2014 here and the 2016 in a restaurant. This 2014 (not a great vintage year) was surprisingly very good. The 2016 was young,so we decanted. It was much better, as expected given the great vintage year ‘16 was. Look forward to having more of this! — 6 months ago
Dry, citrus, underripe green apple, crisp acidity. Enjoyable but not that complex. Muscadet like. — 2 years ago

Citrus forward with notable viscosity in a way so many skin contact wines could only dream of. — 11 days ago
