Super duper crushable. This wine is the very definition of a summer wine. 100% Falanghina. The color of a sunset, this pours a slightly hazy copper salmon. On the nose it’s white flowers and stone fruit. On the palate, it’s ripened apricots, peach skin, rhubarb and bitters. Finish is lasting. Balanced. Works with simple meals. I truly hope Valentina has nothing to do with her Father’s (allegedly) shitty business practices. A truly compelling quaffer. — 8 days ago
Aromatic and a lovely waxiness, lanolin quality. Wonderful — 14 days ago
From Liguria on a long crescent-shaped sliver of mountainous coastline ranging from the French border in the west to that of Tuscany in the east. Pale lemon with pronounced aromas of stone and tropical fruits, spending 4 months on its lees. On the palate flavors of apple, melon and citrus zest, crisp with lively vibrant acidity and mineral notes. Medium+ finish ending with a spicy flinty character. — 13 days ago
2011. 9.5+. A bombshell; best wine I’ve had all year. Completely seamless and mouth-filling. Outstanding balance between gobs of funky dark Amarone-like fruit and firm tannins, without being plummy. So many complex flavors that evolve over an eve and a very long aftertaste. So good at this stage but has many more years left. $85 at Pluckemin. — 13 days ago
This dark wine offers a nose of black fruit and cassis, painted with cedar, clove and cinnamon. The very expressive aromas put me in mind of the holidays. The palate is alive with the dark berry notes and oak spice, and a monstrous set of tannins that need some decant time to soften. Don’t worry, the wine will still handle any steak you put in front of it.

2106 vintage. Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese blend.
Bright ruby red in the glass. Aromas of ripe plum, blue fruit, milk chocolate and cocoa.
Red/blue fruit, plums and ripe cherry with a bit of smokiness. Nice crisp acidity and a fresh finish.
This wine has an elegance to it from start to finish. Highly recommended. — 11 days ago
Light fruit nose with a whiff of mushroom and earth. Tasting notes of dark fruit, sea breezes, hint of licorice, and a tart chokecherry finale! Wow, what a fun journey. — 13 days ago
