Brass Tacks

Fresne Ducret

La Grande Hermine 1er Cru Champagne Blend

A beautiful Champagne from the Montagnes de Reims region. With its age, it comes with a complex flavour of green apple and brass (really).

A beautiful expression of the region.

Holy Mountain

Vessel of Brass Double India Pale Ale

Hoppy, bitter, resiny, everything you would want in s double ipa from the pac nw. Except more bitter, more unfriendly, and more real than those "popular" beers coming in from NE. — 8 months ago

Estate Scallop Shelf Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2013

Great Cali pinot! Orange Zest and Brass set this one apart. Brass/sanguine minerality. Solid, wish it was stored better. — 3 months ago

Chenin Blanc 2019

Post SteakTRB night cap, I think I’m dehydrated now
Winery notes,

This wine precisely expresses an electric fruit energy framed by a structural minerality, crystalline acidity and pleasing complex spice components inherent to the varietal. It is a very complete wine that doesn’t emphasize one component over the others, but rather a cohesive idea that is pure magic in the glass. The hue of the wine can best be described as pale-yellow gold. The exotic array of aromas suggest lychee, peach blossom, brass and cumin dust. The mouth-watering palate experience is saturated with a gem-like expression of notes that include lemon oil, green mango, crushed rock, and white lilac.

Brauneberger Juffer Auslese Riesling 1994

Bright brass color. Intense nose features burnt honey, acid-infused dried apricot, and clean slatey minerality. Not that sweet but beautifully balanced and intensely mineral. Long, refreshing finish. — 10 months ago
