This is a delicious Petit Verdot from Lake County in California. Big, bold and spicy. Feels like a Napa Petite Sirah.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel and a teeth staining color.
The mix of black and red fruits is very interesting. Tangy and rich.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Drinking very nicely now, and will continue to age in the next 5 to 7 years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and good with food.

2014; Father's Day 2022.
👅 Apple juice, dehydrated nectarine, green banana peel, faint vanilla creme, old vinyl | 👅 Honey drizzle over fresh apple pie, under-ripe yellow apple, white peach. Considerably more advanced than our prior bottle, seems some bottle variation here, but one more bottle in the cellar for confirmation. — 7 days ago

This three-year-old needed a lot of time to open up properly. I opened it yesterday, and I did not like the nose at all. So I put the cork back, and kept it in the fridge overnight. What a wonderful difference.

Signs of cemi carbonic maceration tastes like a cru beajolais with an extra layer of complexity. Black pepper, red currant, cherries, roses. Cool stuff. — 2 days ago
Small local producer. Rosé wines from Merlot aren’t typical here in the PNW. Dusky orange, excellent clarity. Label notes it was aged on lees, with aromas of “strawberries, peaches and melons” with “flavors of cherries, raspberries, strawberries and black pepper” For me, strawberry seed and melon aromas with flavors of cola and black pepper, surprise. Almost dry, rounded mouthfeel, defined skin astringency on finish, not excessive but present alongside some mineral and leesy character. Worth seeking out — 18 days ago
