Brilliant magenta. Maybe the most delicious young Chinon (or cab franc for that matter) I’ve ever tasted. Pure varietal character with no compromises— all the freshness, lightness and peppery bite one wants— yet with perfect ripeness. And by that I mean this hovers on that magical edge where the grapes must have been picked at the ideal moment, down to the minute, to produce something not just giving but with all sorts of push and pull. Flirtatious, seductive.
The fruit and flowers are achingly fresh: black raspberries, red and black currants, elderberry, violets, roses, fresh herbs, and an ever so slight cocoa sweetness. Spot on acid and the tannins are handled so deftly that you hardly notice.
I can’t get enough of this. Masterful wine, drinking beautifully but should only get better. — 16 days ago
Still very pale and not evolved. The rich material and high acidities have not converged yet. The fruit here is not as pristine as those from the likes of Fichet and Montille. — 6 days ago
Klockrent cheningodis med smak av soliga fruity frootz. Småpartierna. — 20 days ago
Loving the complexity and lots of flavors. Brick red in color, pretty vibrant still. Strong aromas. Like leather and black fruit. Medium high tannin. Medium acidity. Medium body. Tastes like a bit of leather or smoke but good fruit to balance that out. Medium long finish. I’m not a huge fan of the leather smoke notes but appreciate it for what it is and enjoying the complexity of flavors! I personally have to be in mood for this one but it’s a good one! — 9 days ago
Good but not great 50/50 Cab Merlot blend.
Needed a good hour of decanting and threw a bit of sediment near the end of the pour into the decanter.
A bit on the light side for a Bordeaux but otherwise enjoyable. — 21 days ago
Madeira ainda presente, mas é simplesmente bizarra a complexidade desse vinho. Deve melhorar ainda mais — 19 days ago
