Nice and complex chianti. On the nose velvety notes of black cherries, candied plums, leathery. On the palate harsh but nice tannins, notes of oregano and mint, cherries. The finish is dry. — 22 days ago
This is a delicious Grenache blend from Priorat.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Elegant and rich.
Showing black fruits with cedar, licorice, dark chocolates, coffee, earth, herbs, spices, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
The 2016 vintage was great in Priorat, and it is showing.
A blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 16 months in oak, concrete and amphora vats.
15% alcohol by volume.

2019 vintage. Very well-made and iconic representation of the style. Dill, lemon pith, birch, blanched almond, yellow apple skin, dandelion flower. Definitely not my favorite style of white wine, but of great quality. — 10 hours ago
Missed a few courses and wines. But this grappa was lovely — 7 days ago

The wine may have been held too long, or just needs more air to wake up. Either case my fault for being too eager to pair with herbed ricotta stuffed squash blossoms #heightofsummer.
Pale medium gold. Intensely stoney, delicate/luscious stone fruits as apricot/peach/nectarine. On the palate this gains weight and a minty edge. This could be good with delicate dishes or even on the other hand a rich Persian stew of lamb with lots of green herbs.
Perhaps I didn't put enough effort into the cooking to match this fine old bottle. — 11 days ago
