2 hour decant (some chunky and cloudy sediment). A splended dark purple garnet color with little signs of aging. On the nose: BAM! Expressive nose with that sweet aged Bordeaux perfume, black plum, wet forest floor, floral, smoke, slight barn yard funk, and minty vanilla. Taste: A fresh, smooth medium to full body wine with blackberry, tea, orange peel, cedar, currants, plum, and a chocolate coffee medium plus finish. Wish the taste matched the nose, but drinks decently right now with the decant...pop one if you got em!!! — 12 days ago
2016 medium dark color. Barn yard, leather spices, rustic but slightly sweet aromas of mountain blackberry. Great chalky, coating mouthfeel. Some saltiness, seashell flavors. Tannins fly in them sweeten. Great now maybe 12 more months — 2 months ago

Luv, luv this Syrah! Color - dark heavy red. Nose - red fruit, smokey meat and green olive bell pepper hit the nose with that Cayuse funk cedar/pepper lingering. The dark raspberry fruit hits the pallet; a taste of iron and minerals follow with a barn yard funk and smokey meat rest on the pallet coating and resting on the tongue. A smokey ham medium finish and lingering dry herbs sweet cherry bacon with some ground earth clay appeal. It is a well balanced and elegant Syrah—structured multi-layered that can age the distance! — 6 months ago
Double decant 1 hour. Color — brilliant garnet red! An aroma of dark cherry, vanilla and cedar strikes the nose with floating essence of floral and spices and a subtle barn yard funk lingering at the end. Taste— Honey-vanilla spice notes rest on the tip of the tongue leading to the dark cherry tart flavors on the mid-pallet giving it a juicy luscious feel in the mouth. The medium plus finish lingers with a cedar barnyard funk where you can still taste the presence of the tannins. Needs to age longer so the tannins and flavors are more integrated, but enjoying this Pinot on a rainy evening; definitely need here in CA! — 20 days ago
A beautiful delicate aroma that builds to a lovely ingesting scent ...
A delicate slip yet bold enough .
a perfect red wine for summer nights.
Added to my favourite Red’s list ...
Reminded me of the taste of Tuscany warmth (food the people ) & the subtle chilly winds with the aroma of grapes on a beautiful evening on an antique wine yard ❤️ — 4 months ago
Raspberry, barn yard funk, dark cherry, black tea, leather, cocoa, lots of fruit but savory as well. Medium plus tannins, high alcohol, and high acid. — 2 months ago
I'm from Upstate, you're from Upstate, we're Upstate, and I love you, you crazy wine. This winemaker better not have a issue with vagrants because we'll be camping in their yard of vines when we go on our dank natty wine Finger Lakes adventure. — 4 months ago
