2010. Complex, yet weightless. Brilliant. Photo is from internet. We drank this in Big Sur - which may be the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. — a month ago
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley.
Dry on the palate with medium acidity and long legs.
Medium plus in body and complex.
Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, tobacco, chocolate and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins.
A great wine to have all by itself with good friends.
14.7% alcohol by volume.

AP16-11 from a 0,375
Fantastic acidity, loads of peppery spice, deeply fruited core, pineapple-mango-passionfruit sherbet, orangepeel shavings. Dense and concentrated, almost BA in style.
Just perfect accompaniment for a big chunk of foie. — 4 days ago
Blend of 85% Cab Sauv and 15% Merlot, with an impressive label designed by Mick Jagger’s daughter, Jade. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit, spice and herb notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and tart black cherry with currant and black pepper. Fine tannins, well balanced ending with smoky spice. Tasting well now, crack it out of cellar. — 12 hours ago
Always a favorite!
1hr+ decant. Definitely needs a decant! Dark red color with purple rims. Wine is dominated by vanilla, watermelon, and candied fruit. Medium depth. I actually thought it had some Pinot elements. Reminded me of the Chateau Philippe Le Hardi Montee Rouge which I love. This definitely was like candy and my first review of this wine. Last bottle of this vintage :( — 13 days ago
Venus is a stellar no dosage champagne. Definitely worth seeking out.
A unique terroir
A Brut Nature champagne
Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru
Always a vintage champagne, this cuvee comes from a single vineyard of 60 ares in AVIZE (Fosse aux pourceaux).
No heavy mechanical machines were used in the maintenance of this vineyard, which has solemnly been worked by man and by horse.
Vénus is the domain’s single vineyard emblem.
Bottled under cork.
Disgorged 2 months before the release date without dosage.
This cuvee is only available in bottle. — 7 days ago
Similar notes from April 2020 when I last had it. A red fruited nose giving a lovely earthy perfume with Sous Bois influences. Loam, compost heap nose. Same red fruits on the medium weight palate with strawberry and a touch of raspberry. As Jasper Morris said in his book, Lavaux St Jacques is one of the cooler sites in Gevrey Chambertin. This is always the last Rousseau wine to be picked and enjoying a longer hang time. After a couple of hours, just a gorgeous nose. — 12 days ago
The colour says it all
Pale yellow and shiny
Delicate, focused and intense
I reckon this is among the few top white wines in Italy. Benchmark scent of this wine is wisteria, i have detected it nearly in every vintage.
Last night i drank a Chassagne-Mintrachet Les Caillerets PC 2013 made by Ramonet and i am not complaining tonight eithier..it says it all — 12 days ago
