Vday treat with a nose of raisins, prunes, old leather and dried tabacco. On the palate more dried fruit continues with lighter notes of violet that give way to earthly mushroom. Serious tannin grip add to the hefty mouthfeel.

Rich, full bodied. Pleasant surprise for me since it was a surprise gift from a company gift exchange at our Christmas Party.

Herbacious but delicious. Almost Amarone'ish. Derish.

The company started with Sergio Zenato and his wife Carla as they began to produce quality wines from an indigenous varietal, Trebbiano di Lugana passing it down to their children. Deep Ruby with aromas of sweet dried berry fruits and pepper spice. On the palate ripe blackberry, currants and sweet cherry with complex spice. Well balanced with acidity and alcohol, full-body with soft tannins on lingering finish. Nice value.

A very nice Ripasso. Nose of dried red fruit and earthy spice. Palate full of dried berry fruits, good balance of lively acid and chewy tannins. Medium finish. A favorite with pasta.

Musty and earthy nose. Rich in the mouth with moderate tannin and plum fruit. Very old world and very good.
