Drank 6/23/21. Excellent with Rigatoni Bolognese.
Cherry, earth, tar, leather, and a bit of shoe polish on the nose. Medium bodied, this has juicy red cherry flavors, with notes of earth and worn leather. Wonderfully balanced, this feels very light. Sour cherry and earth in the finish last for roughly a minute.
This is nice now and should last another 10 years plus.

Founded by Don Rafael López de Heredia y Landeta, a student in the art of wine making. Blend of 65% Tempranillo, 25% Garnacho, 10% Mazuelo and Graciano, aromas of sweet berry fruits and spice notes. On the palate cherry and ripe strawberry flavors with citrus notes, cinnamon spice. Fine smooth tannins, long finish, well balanced, ending with fruit and earthy tones. Nice value. — 6 days ago
Delicate light brick color, slightly viscous; concentrated deep nose of ripe and dried red cherries, strawberries, and mulberries and fennel, herbs, and madelaine cookies; medium dry mouthfeel, small fine tannins, opulent, mature, with medium-high acids and alcohol, and long finish. I don’t know when these will peak, but not yet, for sure. — 5 days ago
A wow wine drinking perfectly right now. Blind I would have guessed late 80s Mouton. Bright ruby with some bricking. Notes of red currant, rose hip, turned earth, iodine and mint. With time some wet tobacco. Palate is all red fruit, mint and sun baked limestone. Just elegant and lithe with fine but structured tannins. Don’t miss this one. — 12 days ago
Dark ruby in color with a short brick rim.
Strong nose of blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, raisins, dried figs, tobacco, oak, light vanilla, spices, peppercorn, chocolates and earth.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, cedar, licorice, earth, spices, tobacco, chocolates, light vegetables, coffee, peppercorn and pencil lead.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious GSM blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Showing great complexity with a great mouthfeel. Rich and elegant.
This 11 year old from the great 2010 vintage is so tasty and delicious now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Robert Parker 95 points. Wine Enthusiasts 96 points.
Needs 4 hours to open up properly, and show the tannins and complexity, so be patient.
I've had multiple vintages of this wine, and it is always a treat.
I paired it with dried meats and cheeses.
A blend of mostly Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah with other appellation varietals.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
