This wine goes down smooth like a family of worms slithering down ones throat. The acidic level is fairly high to medium sulfuric. Literally not one tannin is present. Some key fruits include raspberry, dingleberry, and tomato. I would pair this with Krokodil and horse flesh to really bring out all its magic. The quality of producer is up in the air but I can guarantee these grapes were dropped in horse manure prior to fermentation. 5 stars.

A more subdued vintage, but apparently the perfect pairing for Harissa-spiked spinach and Lentil, Hazelnut, and Celeriac salad from Yotam Ottolenghi's 'Plenty' cookbook: the dark fruits and savory notes sang with the earthiness of the dishes .#chinon #cabernetfranc

Earthy, clay, leather, funk, and beautiful. Tasted this a few weeks ago and did not enjoy it, but decided to buy a bottle for $22 and try it again. Decanted it for awhile and it was beautiful. May buy some more to age.

Delicious, clean and a slight funk at the same time. A great wine for Bond night.

Well made but left me wanting more...Tannin? Structure? Age? I'm not quite sure....a rather indistinct wine

Textbook. These wines age incredibly... but impatience also has its rewards.
