Refreshingly subtle #marlborough #sauvignonblanc - it doesn’t smack you in the nose with green tropical fruit, more subdued passion fruit, grapefruit, citrus notes, nicer weight on the tongue but plenty of tension to keep things balanced. Strong QPR here. — 4 years ago
The label suggests this #marlborough #sauvignonblanc be served a bit warmer than usual, (55°F) and I can see why. The color changing dot 🌡 on the label seems gimmicky, though. Aroma doesn’t shove gauva and tropical fruit in your face as usual for value SBs from this region; instead there is more subtle grapefruit, some grassy notes. Moderate acidity on the palate, still crisp and very quaffable as it warms up on a potluck-on-the-patio summer evening. — 4 years ago
Prototypical #marlborough #sauvignonblanc - citrus, gooseberry, some grassy notes but the overall impression is a more subtly satisfying balance between tropical fruit and green notes. Taut acidity make for a refreshing sip on the first truly warm early spring day in Houston. — 3 years ago
Pale pale lemon with pronounced aromas of citrus (grapefruit, tangerine) thiols. Some green fruit (Green Apple, kiwi) and herbaceous hints (green pepper). Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body and medium finish. #riesling #newzealand #marlborough — 4 years ago
Crisp yet balanced #marlborough #sauvignonblanc; subtle grapefruit, kiwi fruit; has sufficient body to pair well with grilled salmon. — 4 years ago

Decent #marlborough #pinotnoir - a day after opening, cooked cherries, some prune notes suggesting oxidation on the nose. Lighter bodied, moderate tartness, earthy fruit, toasted oak mid-palate, peppery spice and tobacco notes on the finish. I’m sure there are much better Pinot Noir offerings from New Zealand. — 3 years ago
Tropical fruit aromas leading to just off-dry palate with lychee, hint of ginger spice and loads of juicy acidity. It did indeed pair excellently with Punjabi Indian take out as long as you don’t get carried away with the spice level. #gerwurztraminer #marlborough — 4 years ago
Quintessential #marlborough #sauvignonblanc; surge of tropical fruit, kiwi aromas, delicious acidity though a bit more ripe than typical which was a welcome surprise. I bet this is already sold out at Costco - great value for $7. — 4 years ago

Medium plus aromas and flavors of tart citrus fruit (Mayer lemons, orange) and popcorn and vainilla. It seems overtly ripe on the nose, but the acidity balances the ripe fruit on the palate. #chardonnay #newzealand #marlborough — 3 years ago
