Uninterrupted rim saturation. Dark plum with rich pressed blackberry aromas; Applewood charcoal smoke, suede, and charred bacon. Violets and safe vie for recognition through a textbook panoply. Black and red plum bounce in the thick blackberry, with thyme and rosemary now, black pepper dusted grilled meat, dried lavender and sapling oak, blue spruce nettle, morel, pencil shavings, cottonseed, cassis, and black currant. There is an iron feel sifting through fine earth dust that seems to re-emerge on the finish. This is a real beauty with a stunning combo of finess and sinewy, farm strength. Sun-bronzed and Hands-on, she is a perfect assimilation of her environment. Great look!

clean pronounced aromas of ripe red cherries, bramble and black plum along with oak aromas of butterscotch and toast
dry, med+ acidity, med+ tannins and high alcohol
medium+ body, medium+ int. a slightly dry and coarse texture med+ finish with blackcurrant flavours. very good, can age 10-15 years. #cdp #chateauneuf #grenache — 3 years ago
If you can get #chateauneuf for under $30 and its THIS good, then anything is possible. Even your absurd unprofitable esoteric dreams. All of it. Red cherry and raspberry meet dark licorice and a little bit of that French oak bitter mocha thing (the latter 2 didn't come out until 30 minutes of breathing), and some anise herbal white pepper spice to finish. Decant maybe, def give it some time to open up. #rhone #sundayfunday — 4 years ago
