Clos de la Bussière Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1998

Served blind. We picked this as Morey St. Denis , but didn’t get the producer or the year. Lovely. Minerally. — 3 months ago

Good stuff

La Doriane Condrieu Viognier 2020

Outstanding viognier from this legendary producer. Father’s Day gift from my son so I popped it immediately but I bet this would be amazing 5+ years from now! — 3 months ago

Bodegas Emilio Moro

Malleolus Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2020

Beautifully crafted, this gem from Emilio Moro offers ripe, dark fruit with perfectly balanced tannins. Drink it slow, as it unravels its magic towards the end. — 3 months ago

Insignia Estate Grown Napa Valley Red Wine 2018

Ming L
9.5

The “Black Label” edition of the ‘18 vintage for 50th anniversary of the winery, with 3% Cab from the Backus vineyard - a first time for Insignia. Not sure that makes a difference.
Truly an exceptional wine even by Insignia standard. Complex notes of blackberry, red plum, cassis, cedar, tobacco, baking spices, menthol, and light forest floor that do not try to overwhelm your senses. Power and grace on the palate with impeccable balance.
Drinking beautifully now but patience will be rewarded.

Love it

Château Batailley

Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Very open & enticing.
Ripe black currant, cassis, some pot pouri, a bit of cedar wood. But there’s also savoury gravel type minerality.
On the palate this is perfectly balanced - medium bodied, with beautiful juicy, velvety tannins. So fine & polished. Creamy black fruit. So poised & elegant.
Drinking beautifully right now!

Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Not a bad way to kick off my first trip to Napa. Was worth the decades I’ve been waiting to have this wine. — 3 months ago

Château Simone

Palette Red Rhone Blend 2015

Herbal and a bit green. Very interesting. Would’ve called Bordeaux over Rhone/Provence. — 3 months ago

The V6 Experience Brut Bouzy Pinot Nero

NOSE: yogurt, old crystallized honey, graham cracker, rye bread…you really know it’s champagne!

TASTE: super bready/graham cracker … green apple, especially the bitter skin. I prefer more citrus, but still quite enjoyable. 92.
