This 2015 Gran Reserva from La Rioja Alta is one nice surprise after another. Not too revealing, neither visually, nor bouquet-wise. Nice, but unremarkable. But what a welcoming experience at the palate!
The vanilla infused boysenberries and plums dance on your tongue. The beautiful Rioja wood tone and tannins keep the fruit crisp, and dry. Rose petal softness and finesse in the very long and gratifying aftertaste round the experience. Definitely a keeper! — 2 years ago
Absolutely stunning. Classic Ribera dark fruit and wood tones. Very long, lively aftertaste. This 2019 Reserva is flirty. Love it! — 2 years ago
Fresh fruit and upcoming rain on the nose are always a good sign. Mature berries dance on the palate and are followed by a long, silky, mature finish.
This wine is just spectacular!! — 3 years ago
The visual experience is nice. Not very full bodied, but a beautiful ruby red. The bouquet is rather light. Nothing really stands out. Then you taste it and find a whole new, behind the scenes, story: Strawberries dance at first, and then there is spice, licorice, and everything nice. Would love to drink it again. — 4 years ago
