Really solid Gran Reserva that shows a lot of aging potential. I really think the 5% Graciano in the blend does a nice job and brings some good extra complexity to the mix. Super intense aromatics of strawberry, vanilla, rose petal, balsamic, and lots of plums. Has some earthy dry leaf, leather, and tobacco components too. Again, very complex. Caramel, chocolate, and dried fruit inside that focuses on raspberry and cherry. Dusty, but still lush and creamy. Great long lasting flavors after each sip.

Very complex, medium-full bodied with notes of leather, tobacco, petrol, tart cherry, and baking spices.

Dark garnet. Sweet oak and savoury fruit on the nose. Quite complex. Palate is balanced - sweet forest berries, wood smoke, vanilla, and leather. Oak is a bit too prominent for me at this stage.

Classic Rioja. Integrated and composed from start to finish. Everything you’d expect: opulent red fruit + tobacco + leather and vanilla. Smooth medium finish with concentrated tannins. Great wine.

This 2015 Gran Reserva from La Rioja Alta is one nice surprise after another. Not too revealing, neither visually, nor bouquet-wise. Nice, but unremarkable. But what a welcoming experience at the palate!
The vanilla infused boysenberries and plums dance on your tongue. The beautiful Rioja wood tone and tannins keep the fruit crisp, and dry. Rose petal softness and finesse in the very long and gratifying aftertaste round the experience. Definitely a keeper!

Rich & lush, gorgeous nose full of black fruit (plums, black cherry), some cedar notes, decaying leaves, a hint of tobacco leaf. Rich yet so fresh! And pure. Hardly any wood evident. Some uplifting raspberry hints emerge. So complex.
On the palate this is lush, creamy, rich yet juicy and with incredible freshness! The tannins are dusty, so fine, so juicy. Nothing edgy, harsh or overly dry here. Great wood aging mgnt!
This has depth, great richness & complexity yet remains so drinkable. Incredible length, too! And, I’d judge, great aging potential.
This is such a gorgeous, delicious wine!
They really nailed it in 2015!
