Château Langoa Barton

Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Refreshing Bordeaux with nice dark dry red fruit complexity. Polished, well integrated, soft but lasting tannins. — a year ago

Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 2012

Much more approachable early than the 2008. Lots of yeast in the nose, good backbone of acid on the palate, this will get better over time. — a year ago

Château Léoville-Las Cases

Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1982

A great 1982 with the structure to age another ten years . A great vintage for Leoville and this was from a high shoulder fill . — a year ago

Trefethen Family Vineyards

Oak Knoll District Pinot Noir 2019

Long and slow legs with a iridescent maroon color. Huge bouquet on the nose with a tiny hint of cardamom. I will admit that I was cutting garlic so the florals might have been more dramatic ha! Burst of juiciness upfront that tapers into a tea-like body with the perfect amount of dryness on the finish. Prominent tasting notes I get are strawberry and wildflower honey. Honey stays on the finish with a mild heat that dissipates pretty quickly. One of the better Pinots I’ve had in quite some time! — a year ago

Château Beychevelle

Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1998

Earthy, like creek rocks. Clean, crisp. Barely ripe raspberry, dirty baby portobello mushroom dust (in a good way). Dried pine nettles. Old crushed bay leaves. Pet a French Brittany. The breed is smart, adaptive, and and friendly. — a year ago

Really good casual barolo. Tastes young but ready to drink. Drank at dad’s with tajarin (tagliatelle) and white truffle sent from Piedmont by Daniel. Wonderful all around. New Years Day 2023. — a year ago
