Crazy crazy spice as expected from this cuvee. There are layers of tar, deep black cherry and huge minerals as well. It’s a terrific nose. Stunningly deep and aromatic 95/9.6 nose. It evolves constantly and is almost not stable it’s changing so much. Violets come into view. Also a loamy aspect. Palate is tight but oh so promising. Amazing fine grained tannins that are super velvety. So pure and love the 2014 angles. Complex and elegant with just terrific lift and brightness. Long, complex and mineral tinged finish. Sappy and pure. Really long. Awesome inner mouth aromas of sweet cherry. Balanced, pure and super sweet with air. This has massive structure and will only get better and likely demands 3-4 years in the cellar. So killer. 9.4 but I think in an hour it’s gonna be 9.4. Stunning finish.
After air this is insane. Nose is perfumed, complex and spicey. Deep violets. So good 9.5 nose. Palate is so velvety now. Great freshness and so pure. Terrific finish. Gets to every nook and cranny. — 12 days ago
Love this wine. What a vintage for it. Stunning nose of mineral, baking spices and gorgeously discreet wood. Wow. Some tropical fruit as well but in no way is it vulgar. It’s just ripe. Fresh rain on a fields of herbs. Really pretty nose. So nuanced and elegant but so so well made. A knockout. 9.5 nose. Palate is deep. Really deep. Chewy, dense and mineral. Really mineral. Some hints of fruit but man is this mineral. Long and concentrated. Tastes woodsy. Not woody. Really long finish and dynamic structure and energy. This drinks 1er cru level easy. I think it’s closing down and will be better in 4 years or so. — 18 days ago
Light and young at first but woody and peppery after taste. Medium tannin. Great with lamb or steak — 9 days ago
Yes! Yes! Yes! Found this at the grocery store on sale for $10.99. Soooooo good! Woody essence with a fruity aroma and a great after taste. Smooth and delicious! — 9 days ago
Really smooth. Buttery and woody with a bold, but light refreshing finish. — 24 days ago
A baffling conundrum of sweet and woody potential with a hint of bark from the ents of faghorn forest — 11 days ago
Nose has moist alpine hay, fresh sage, lime wedge, quince, fresh fennel, wet granite sand and a light natural wine vibe with vinegar notes likely derived from a little skin contact action.
Palate initially has zoomy acidity like biting directly into a lime, but it expands to Jasmin honey, over-ripe Bosc pear, light woody notes, chewy moist chalk textures with a dry-ish finish seeming to run out endlessly. Wow, this wine has me floored with quality, what an experience!

Cork pulled for slow oxidation 8H, then decanted 2H, more bottle time appreciated. 2023+ — 15 days ago
A more structured Lambrusco than our normal go-to, Denny Bini (more berry fruit-forward). This feels tannic, dry, woody - of the forest. A bit of tobacco and brown leaves with quiet acidity. — 22 days ago
