One of my favorite sleeper wines in my portfolio. Nose has lemon pith and flesh and a hint of creaminess. Gorgeous and clear minerals. Smells like a scene in nature. So vivid and like a field. Palate is just so complete with lemon, grapefruit and green apple flavors and a lovely limestone minerality throughout and tons of sap and length. With air the nose has a unique grassy element. Really fresh and perfectly integrated acidity. This is the type of wine restaurants in the usa need by the glass. Of course it would be overpriced but at least it will be great. Really picking up some finesse now with air. This is so well made. Nose is stanky mineral now. Also so saline. Sea breeze. Palate has such grace and a quiet density. Round and fresh. — 5 months ago
Beats the 2015 Thörle Hölle with ease. Soft mellowed out. Cardamom, orange zest, hint oregano, plenty tannins. Faint cherry. Needs air - give it 1h at least! In Germany 2015 was considered one of the best vintages ever. Can run another 5-6 years. For some reason i love the the E&M off vintages more - go figure? With air this further improved lime and more pronounced cherry. — 8 months ago
Glorious nose of apricot, peach and minerals. Very pretty. Smells like if the ocean was made of Riesling. Palate is gorgeous and a bit backwards with pink grapefruit, tangelo and apricot. Gorgeous purity and depth. Killer acidity but needs to come together. Nose gets herbal with air. Also some spice. Palate has great concentration and such an intense mineral sheen. Juicy and linear and wonderful delineation on the finish. Nose is confectionary beyond. Wet, damp earth. Salty, juicy, clean. So ludicrous. Succulent. This is killer on day 2. Wow. So concentrated and deep. Unreal tension. 9.6 9.7 overnight. The sap and intensity are world class. — a month ago
Good. But can not beat E&M. — 3 months ago
So so intense, clean mineral lines & voluminous on palate-tasted blind my friend thought Chardonnay. 50 shades of apricot, a squeeze of petrol at end of long finish. Enough padding to be also Uber enjoyable. — 8 months ago

I love this wine. It’s so versatile with food. Amazing combo with bbq beef on skewers. Rich yet ethereal. Killer acids and mouthfeel. Always elite. — 2 hours ago
