Dark and squishy, like that one girl who turned into a blueberry in Willy Wonka — 6 years ago
This Zinfandel from Predator makes me feel like I’m on a stroll through Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, stalked by flavors of tobacco, jam, cherry, spice, and everything nice. Umpa Lumpa’s chanting songs of intoxication and merriment lull me into bliss. This Zinfandel is the golden ticket. — 6 years ago
Very smooth! Enjoyed on December 24, 2018 — 8 years ago
Very nice chenin blanc. Zippy and bright but also medium body, as it opens up tastes a bit like gruyere cheese and lemon and smells like what the candied daffodils in Willy Wonka I imagine would smell/taste like. Also has a nice touch of a bitter finish. Pairs great with citrus and tahini. — 8 years ago
2012 Napa/Sonoma closeout Chardonnay face-off. If you were going to make a movie theater popcorn flavor of chewing gum, you’d want to drink the William Hill before you started just to make sure you got it right. It’s a Willy Wonka expression of malolactic fermentation. The Iron Horse brings more precision along with more restraint. Focused stone fruit infused with lemongrass and lychee lead the way to a lime and mineral driven finish. — 9 years ago
Kind of sweet but really smooth and enjoyable! With Willy — 3 years ago
After wading through sage smudge sticks & ashen pine forests I stumble upon Willy Wonka’s sinister step brother’s setup lined with dried black cherries, dark chocolate covered cherry cordials & espresso beans, soaked rum cake, brandied soaked plums, figs and a finish of cocoa powder with flowerless dark chocolate cake — 5 years ago
I love Greek wine. They really get the idea. Light bodied, could be chilled. Like eating a eating a blueberry tart and drink a lambic with salt water riding up against the bottle. but Willy wonka style - so it’s all in this wine — 6 years ago

Drinking the 2 decade old product of the masterful collaboration of the new world (order's) master, Robert Mondavi, and the old world's (puppet) master, Baron Philippe Rothschild was a dream cum. True, I may be biased, but after recently tasting the 1996 and 1997 vintages of Robert Mondavi's Napa Can, I can see how much RM benefitted from Rothschild's involvement in the 1998 Opus One. He must have felt like the Cleveland Orchestra in Michael Jackson's Will You Be There (Free Willy Song). Really good, aged, mellow cherry juice. This one has quite a few years of life left in it. Mmmmmm. — 9 years ago

Columbia county 2.0: end of a meal, nightcap of sorts. So so perfumed with dill & vanilla & tree sap, as if Willy Wonka decided to get into winemaking. Really just lived for a while breathing this in. On palate it’s remarkably agile & light, even though the body of red fruits is firmly medium boned. No signs of decay or slowing down- even the cork was perfect-easily can go on another several decades ( it feels). God what a treat. — 3 years ago

A fun blast to the past with this ‘01. Smooth tannins, bing cherry, black fruit. A roll of your tongue kind of experience. A Willy Wonka ticket for the holidays. — 8 years ago
