Light body with a musky almost peachy flavor. Forward notes of wild grapes with finishing notes of plum. Lightly tannic. — 5 years ago
Garnacha blanca 100%
6 hectares of vineyards are located at altitude of 460 meters, on northeast slope. Age of vines is above 25 years. Autochtonous yeast. 4 months in cement reservoirs sur lie without battonage. Organic wine.
Pale colour.
On the nose: green apple, pear, lime, wheat sticks, wild flowers. Later some honey notes, blossom dust, gravel, hot sand, caramel. Beautiful evolution of bouquet.
Bright on the palate, with crispy acidity and light bitterness, with tones of lemon zest and apple pit. Spicy finish.
Interesting wine. Probably, 'sur lie' aging helped to reach complex bouquet, but some bitterness occurred, and wine became less smooth. Optionally, one can cool down the wine pretty well, but that's a kind of trade-off - in this case rich bouquet would be lost.
But hey, that is not a top wine of this winery production! They produce better wines like 'El jardin de las iguales' (which I haven't taste yet... unfortunately 🙂 ) and much more. Even the slope is not the best... And they definitely did everything they could!
Very nice wine.

Captured in the wild. Bottom shelf, no price tag, alone. 3 days ago...and this really threw me for a loop. Hands down best Bourgogne Blanc I’ve ever had. Malo, Battonage, oak, on a racy mineral ringing nerve of aligote?! Holding up like a fine 1er Cru white. What the hell?! I can’t believe I haven’t encountered this style anywhere. This is some brazen proof from Denis just how brilliant he is when it comes to making wine. Was really shining about 4 hours after opening, kept singing until it was finished about 20 hours later. Pina colada rich in minerals and acid. Hell yes. — 9 years ago
Loved the Paraduxx from Rector Creek earlier this year so not surprised this met my high expectations.
$95 club shipment
From its firm, age-worthy structure to its gorgeous aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, blueberry, violet and marjoram, this is an elegant and enticing Cabernet. On the palate, the red fruit notes shine with abundant flavors of wild ripe strawberry and raspberry, as well as hints of cassis. — 12 years ago
Nose is so crazy. Wow. Insane. This is a reserve because it’s only 500 liters and 15 HL/ha. Crazy nose florals. Yellow flowers. Daisies. Lay in a wild grassland and all these flowers are blooming around you. Sweet flowers from acacia. Resinous. Beginning of the acacia flower cycle. Influenced by the stockinger barrel as well. Palate is opulent yet is refined because of the stockinger barrels. So playful versus how it was this summer. Floral palate and yellow fruits. Huge acid and high ripe acid driven tropical fruits. Wild mint and herbal. Herbal. Wild herbs and green sweetness. Very vibrant and chiseled. Used to be Arnold in the 70’s and now it’s Brad Pitt in Fight Club. Super nose and very long. You can drink now but only shows 30% of potential but will last forever. — 4 years ago
2020 vintage.
The Maverty family have been making some of the best wines for years in Okanagan Falls.
Orange blossoms and ginger with citrus on the nose.
Citrus drenched lime pith with ripe pears, apples with creamy lees and floral qualities. Creamy dry finish.
The vines are 34 years old.
They use wild yeasts then ferment in foudre, stainless steel, older French barrels and puncheons.
Wooded wines under go regular battonage while stainless steel portions sits on the lees…..eventually blended.
Please look for their sparkling wines….Blanc du Blanc and Rose.
Very impressive. — 5 years ago
Birthday 2020 wine. A richly complex layered wine. Nose: chalk, schists flint, vanilla yoplait, candied lemons. Palette: truly a wild journey but grounded in this like best cream soda of your life vibe. Candied citrus, salinity, sweet morning bun. A hint of musty cellar but just the right amount not off putting. Texture is like a melllow marshmallow topo Chico. Pleasantly long finish. Great acidity and bubbles all around. Fantastic stuff, will acquire another bottle to drink maybe birthday 2030. Hope there are sufficient antibody tests and be able to leave the apartment by then. — 6 years ago
Wow! This was a 2011 vintage opened on 11.16.2019. Was a fun to drink with spicy meat chili. Flavors of wild herbs, chocolate, and heavy, sharp tannins. Ultra dry! Could use another 5-10 years. Looking for more! Buy and hold these bad boys if you can find them! — 7 years ago
Wine club gathering with dear friends. Two whites and two reds, all tasted blind.
This was the Merlot I had so many years ago that changed my perception on what could be done with the varietal. Love this stuff. It can hang with many of the big boys and exhibits nice finesse and depth with loads of espresso, ripe red fruits, and tar/balsamic. — 8 years ago

This puts me in my happy place. Tobacco and ripe berries on the nose. The palate is filled with cigar smoke as if you just wandered into some good ol' boys private club. A good bit of spice, flowers, and blackberries here, as well. At 14.9%, this will help take you some places. Definitely feels more Old World than New, this is nice stuff. — 10 years ago
Vintage 2008 — 12 years ago
From one of my child's birth years. Labelled as Pinot Noir Color is a medium light gold. Super classic nose; brioche, yeasty bread, toasted nuts. Wife calls cider (oxidative notes?). Paired with prawns persillade, buerre noisette scallops and wild harvested cocktail prawns and handful of tiny fish.
Exquisite balance, great depth of flavor and seemingly more life than the other club 2012 I bought for the cellar. — 4 years ago
Subtle and restrained at first but this wine blossoms in the glass (just don’t bother with a flute that would construct the nose). Fine pinpoint bubbles carry aroma of crisp red fruit like wild raspberries and sour cherry, white flowers and lemon zest. Gorgeous grand cru fruit, 70% Pinot noir, 30% Chardonnay. Very long finish with loads of minerality on the close. — 4 years ago
One of my new favorite Zin. Picked up through fundraiser and decided to join winery club. A little sweet but loved flavors. — 6 years ago
100% Schiava from Alto Adige. Wild strawberries, fruit, cherries. Nice bitterness like Dolcetto. Biodynamic. Indigenous yeast. 24 months in wood, 6 in bottle. Nonfiltered. Vineyards are 60-70 years old, cellar is more than 700 years old. Excellent example of Schiava. 12.5% abv. Fantastic with mushrooms! Roscioli wine club. — 7 years ago
Today was an absolutely fantastic Friday hosting at the City Club by @Dan Fitzgerald. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine. Great job Dan!
The fourth of four Colgin’s served blind. My co-favorite. From the get-go, it was super concentrated, herbal, savory and just a hint of black fruit. Almost chewy in how dense it was. Smoky charcoal, wild herbs, cassis, and truffled blackberries. Still quite dry and tannic, even with the long decant. My initial, and final, guess was Colgin Syrah. Loved it. — 7 years ago

Paul T, Missing My Beautiful Wife 24/7
I had cork problems with 3 consecutive bottles of IX Estate, 05, & two 06 from different sources, very soft & spongieDon't know how Delectable would do this. Winner of this year's Young Guns of Wine, Dormilona wines' new releases. From left to right:
2016 Clayface Pet Nat: Chenin. In typical Dormilona Clayface manner, fermented in amphora terracota pots. Wild ferment. No sulphur, fining, or filtration.
2016 Skinnie: Stunning skinnie made of Sauv Blanc. Again, fermented in amphora. Aged in amphora and barrel (old?). Battonage. Minimal sulphur. A smart and most importantly, delicious orange.
2016 Chenin Blanc: Oh wow! Seriously gotta have more Chenin from the Margaret. Gotta love the creaminess leesiness minerality length of this wine.
2016 Rosado: Rosé from Tempranillo. Solid! Though it didn't really stand out in this crowd.
Jo and Jimmy are truly rising stars of the region! Can't wait to see more of their wines. — 10 years ago

Sandhi ‘Romance’ Chardonnay (2020) is made exclusively with grapes from the Domaine de la Côte estate vineyards, farmed organically, within the Sta Rita Hills AVA of the Central Coast region of California.
After a wild-yeast fermentation, this wine aged 10 months in neutral oak and 6 months in tank. It is textured with flinty mineral notes, next to layered aromas and flavors of toast, cream, cheese rind, white blossom, lime zest and just-ripe apple, pear, white peach, nectarine, honeydew, and starfruit. It is precise, elegant, and nuanced.
It has a freshness and vibrancy with a textured mouthfeel, bright acidity, and a delicately reductive character. At 12.8% ABV, this wine sits firmly within the medium alcohol range, speaking to the cooling coastal winds that are prevalent in the Sta Rita Hills AVA.
It’s absolutely delicious and a versatile culinary complement.
Cheers to Sandhi and beautiful, terroir-driven California Chardonnays! — 2 years ago
