From a little vineyard just above one of the most highly reputed vineyards (La TΓ’che) in of the most highly esteemed villages (Vosne RomanΓ©e) in the most sought after region of the world (Burgundy) lies this little vineyard called Aux Champs Pedrix. 10 years ago some grapes was grown and harvested in this vineyard and fermented into wine..
... And as the wine dust of its shoulders and get comfy in the glass it is an drop dead gorgeous act indeed. Still with plenty of nerve intact in a borderline between dried and fresh fruit, a vivid perfumed mid section of incense, bitter orange and dried roses that lies over a savoury foundation of soy sauce, dried mushrooms and forrest floor.
A fresh spine and silky grip from the tannins keeps the palate intact as it travels like a graceful waltz through the palate over the long finish.

This wine will set you down in the middle of a candle lit heurigen, listening to a waltz whist surrounded by the Austrian Alps of the summer season. β 9 years ago

Half Acre Beer Company Lager Town Oktoberfest
Red Orange opaque amber with yellow orange top. Sea dragons and pretzels waltz, bowing backwards among stylized skeletal equines turned high contrast with melting mantis head ambivalence latencies. Dried apricot and pineapple honey breadsticks with capers, lime, lemon twist and hazelnut aromas. Strong lemon influence on the entry shows points of grapefruit pith and a lovely roundness suggestive of rosemary and dietary yeast.
Intense and lovely Oktoberfest offering.

This is a beautiful 80/20 blend that I brought back from visit Montpelier. This was chosen for me at a shop to reflect the region I was visiting. While a bit simple and direct, the structure conveys the elegance and mouthfeel with clarity. A delightful blackberry & thyme waltz. β 4 years ago
The proverbial β5 Woodβ to play when you need steady and precise. Wonderful 2 varietal waltz of fluid precision and Elegance. Not hyper-charged in tannin or acid, this super plush and refined winner was a perfect match for lamb sausage. Well grown Virginia Hamlet!!οΏΌ β 6 years ago
Oh heavy and deep and itβs someone who gets into my head and body and soul. As MourvΓ¨dre/monastrell/mataro does. It is in my body because it is balanced: alcohol acid and body seem to waltz whilst NOT waiting for the unbalanced part: the onslaught of flavor. Those parts are moshing(body): leather and funky high toned but aggro tobacco orange peel all sorts of sour red and black things and an umeboshi plum are the sharp acidic cinnamon veil over all so my soul is here thinking and... β 8 years ago
I'm a Cab Franc Freak, so for the price (sub$10), this is absolutely amazing to me. The mushrooms, Earth and spice all dance the waltz perfectly with she red fruit and Rutherford dust backbone that really stitches this wine together. Overall, I'd buy this wine many many more times in the future. And I will. β 9 years ago
Super clean nose with a hint of dainty white flower. Rush of lemon-lime and chalk immediately brightens up the mouth with a slightly effervescent zing, then a continuing waltz of elegant acid and minerals dances through the mid-palate, finishing with the trademark Etna ashiness and a touch of Mediterranean salinity. β 10 years ago
Remarkable balance - mouthfeel/acid/mineralityβ¦.stunning elegance at 5 full years old! Lemon cream and delicate florality waltz from one side of my palate to the other! Site + skill = world class! β 4 years ago
Almond, strawberry, cherry, black pepper... Wow what a nose! The palate is very well balanced and powerful: super strong acid backbone, bright red fruit all along, some nice width with a grippy soft texture, some tannins kicking things up before a very long and wide fruity finish, where fruit liquor and almond waltz together for a while. A bitter touch finishes up in style. What a ride! β 6 years ago
The waltz between fruit and acidity is how I describe German Rieslings. Went really well with Indian spicy food. Acidity helps with softening the bold spices and fruit acts as a complement on the palate. This was more sweet for a kabinet. β 9 years ago
Decent Cab, was hoping for more complexity β 10 years ago

This is a Syrah that is ready to go less than 2 years in the bottle!
Sam is a master at extraction and this wine shows it- maintaining an undeniable freshness while holding a strong stance in the weight and body department like it's been hitting the gym. Incredible presence and character and crunch! The balance of acid, tannin and fruit is a waltz, no actually more of a symphony of harmonics.
