Sorella Champoux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Layers and layers of dark red fruit, raspberry, cassis. Lovely WA fruit. Well balanced tannins, elegant and lush. Gonna need to buy more. A tour de force for sure! — 4 months ago

Hello, Cote Rotie. 8% co-ferment. Def not Norhone, but as good as it gets for WA. — a year ago

A little bit of age on this classic wa wine. Love what it’s showing today. — 5 years ago

Quilceda Creek

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

2021 vintage. Tasted via Coravin. So. Much. Sweet. Oak. Much less concentration, mineral influence and grip than expected/recalled from previous vintages. Granted, tasting this 15 years too youthfully but, still, underwhelming. Honestly, a total waste of my time. Hurtz to say that as I consider this as one of, if not THE, best WA wine made. Just never rocked the boat, in a positive way, in any aspect. Would get totally blown out in a blind CA/WA/BDX Cab/Cab blend tasting in the $40-$50 range. Unimpressive. 5.29.24. — 6 months ago

I opened a 2000 a year or two ago and thought “this is too young”…the oak still so pronounced.

Pirouette Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2016

Nice WA Bordeaux blend, good balance between the varietals, although didn’t think it had the structure to cellar for too long. — 3 years ago

Wild Eyed Red Mountain Syrah 2012

Purchased at release and like most WA Syrahs needs time to achieve its potential. This wine is now soft and fully integrated with black and red cherry graphite tar menthol spice cedar smoked meat all in balance with just enoigh acid to keep it bright. Color is still deep ruby with no rim variation. I've had every vintage ever made of the Wild Eyed and remain loyal. — 10 months ago

One of the more compelling and complex WA reds I've had. Still deeply colored, intense nose of chocolate covered cherries, but with a reserved character, rather than over-the-top confected. Very well balanced and missing the sometimes, too fleshy/higher Ph I find disturbing in WA reds. — 4 years ago
