Sabbia Vino Lazio Bianco 2020

Grapefruit and kiwi, ginger and clay
Just lacking the soft side to balance
Quite long and enjoyable with food
I don't mind it, bit I'd rather have the Alimento label from them
Still thumbs up and i am curious to have this bottle in 6 months time..just because

Paesi Tuoi Barolo Nebbiolo 2013

Lovely bouquets of cedar, balsamic and dry mushroom commingle with red cherry, ripe blackberry, peppery spices,, and hint of lilac. The palate is a bit more savory than the nose suggests. Fresh acidity and authoritative grainy tannins.
This shows better than I expected from a coop, thanks to the great 13’ vintage. Have the structure to age for another 5 years at least.

Ensamble Oculto Vino Tinto 2016

This has officially topped any other Mexican wine I’ve ever tasted. A blend of Syrah, Nebbiolo, Petit Verdot, Cab Franc and Zin from Valle de Santo Tomas in Baja California. Very silky and very well integrated. Art in a glass! This is the kind of bottle that makes believers out of people. — a month ago

Dense aroma full of cranberry and bramble fruit. Honest and well balanced. Tannins resembling brown leaves emerge later. A touch of mouse? — 14 days ago

Vino Sexto Elemento Bobal

Forgot how much I loved this deep, inky purple wine. It’s rich, velvety - enjoy it with food, but a great red to slowly sip and savor. Worth the treat. — 7 days ago

Vino Bianco Numero 73

Traditional Marsala vino perpetuo made with a Grillo and Catarratto blend, fermented in neutral barrels with 10-15 day maceration. Aged in perpetuo (similar to solera system), with 40-year old base wine continually topped up with wine from younger vintages. Expressive nose, lots of ripe fruit. Moderate sweetness — 15 days ago

Pirrera Vino di Contrada Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese 2019

Excellent easy drinking wine, looks light but is actually 13.5 degrees. Cherries, a bit astringent, pale. With schrimp diabolo and reblouchon potatoes an excellent wine to cut through the spices/heath and through the butter. Would be excellent with a plate of charcuterie for lunch. — 8 days ago
