Had this at Bern’s Steak House in dessert room. Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe stone and tropical fruits and floral notes wrapped in a frizzante. On the palate flavors of peach, apricot and mango with notes of white floral. Good balance with lively yet refrained acidity, medium+ finish ending with sweet ripe fruit character. — 4 years ago
With “bruschette” and Good friend is a very great wine! — 4 years ago
Pleasantly surprised with this wine... first time having a Vespolina wine. This grape is native to Piedmont and has Nebbiolo grape in its ancestry. Only 12.5% alcohol, classically-made acid-driven red with soft tannins. The tannins grew stronger in the glass I was having 24 hours later. For $24, this is a super value wine I have had in a long time. — 5 years ago
Light due to the fact of being well balanced in flavor and body, perfect with bisteca a la fiorentina and oven baked potatoes. — 6 years ago
Pale pink / red reminds me of the colors of the sky at sunset. Refreshing and bright, perfect follow up to a day spent crabbing on SFOB. Acidic and excellent when paired with Dungeness. — 9 years ago
Temnded me of gorgonzola dolce cheese...in a good way! — 11 years ago

This is a really good wine but definitely not a crowd pleaser. It starts off with melon and then turns to something like a dry, not-sweet mead. Cool and interesting. — 6 years ago
Delightful. Like a fresh pear with vibrant acidity. Light and lovely. — 7 years ago
Feel like it may have been in a hibernation period, but this showed all the classic qualities you expect from an Amarone. — 9 years ago
Delicious wine we purchased on a whim at Astor Wine. "just yummy" for a great price. — 11 years ago

Decanted +6H. Paired alongside a slow cooked Bolognese sauce over Pappardelle. Merry Christmas 2022 to everyone. 🎄
Deep ruby, fading at edges. Nose has elegant blackberry mash, chocolate mint; Palate has ripe cherry, dried tart cherry, medium drying tannins. Drink future bottles 2027+. — 4 years ago
Dedication ,labor of love, patience and traditional attention to the details results in this excellent and smooth savory wine. Rich medium red, ripe red plum followed with a pleasant peppery suggestion. Great wine, excellent pairing with Shrimp Diablo. — 5 years ago
Friulano adds its touch to this blend, a wine not to miss ! — 8 years ago
Very Sangiovese-like, bright, sing-songy and cheerful with nice cherry fruit. Nice dustiness and slight note of lilies on the mouthfeel and good pepperiness to counterbalance a bit of a syrupy, low cost note. — 10 years ago

vintage 2019 | Exemplary sangiovese | Morelinno di Scansano never dissapointed me | The more air the better, my last glass with 48 h aeration became velvety with a hint of truffle | paired with Ottolenghi’s mushroom lasagne — 2 months ago
