Better than any Red Burgh I ever had. Challenging and not for the faint of heart: Upon opening rough and close to undrinkable with a good amount of volatile acid. That blows off. 20 min in, and then, this shows what it is made of. Importantly- drinking window upon opening - is about 30 min then it starts to fall off!!!!!! Still super tannic needs 5 more years - Anyways an incredible potpourri of flavors - a genius at work - Sven Enderle - the guy takes risk no one else would - ultra dark cherry, mouth puckering tannins, 🇮🇩 Indonesian spices, clove, cinnamon and then Italian - Oregano). At the same time this acidic tension - Mexican lime! ——/Touch bitter, black tea, elderberry. Absolutely world class 9.8 should be a 10 in ~ 2-5 years. Pinot does not get better then this! High 14.1% for this producer. Quite dark and extracted the 2018. A unicorn and often they made just one barrel - 300 bottles. The Pinot clones who knows what they are > 60 years old gnarled and full of moss. I had the privilege to visit them every other year. Sadly they closed shop. — 8 days ago

DOYARD - purchased direct from the winery - 1995 vintage disgorged 2007 - 12 years in bottle. Good pop of the bottle. Golden, amber hue. Nose is super complex, butterscotch, herbs (dill, anise), and and huge salinity, with some mandarin orange. Absolutely smacking. Palette is huge. Truly expansive body - acid so balanced. These Carmel and tangerine notes happen. The finish is long and tannic. This is a unicorn bottle. Excellent. — 7 years ago

Wonderful rainbow bouquet of cherry, oak, citrus and spice. As it rolls across the palette you are drawn to the unicorn on the bottle, this is when you know this is not your ordinary Chianti. This is a magical bottle that never ends. We easily poured glass after glass and it never emptied. Cheers to you Italian wizards of vino. — 9 years ago

Nearly impossible to source in Australia
Arguably one of the best rosé in the world, the best in Italy
Surely hard to put it in a category i think the unicorn category suits it best

It's like a red that drinks like a white

Cola, mushrooms, oregano, sundried tomatoes and so much more that i can't even recall

No need to say you wanna accumulate as much as u can and i assure you if stored well this will last for longer then a decade
