Loamy and somewhat medicinal/herbal aromatics. Fruit petty much gone. Nice resolved tannin coupled with complementary acidity. A pleasure to try a 50 year old wine that still had some life.

2002 Vintage. Decanted for approx 1.5 hrs. Throwing a decent amount of sed. At the top of its’ particular bell curve-not getting any better. Drink up time.

In really good shape and didn’t throw a ton of sediment. Still had delightful tannin and bright acid. Savory, meaty notes and olive were starting to present. Tons of prune, dried cherry, and coffee also.
