Missed the boat thinking it was younger than 10 years.

You’ve got to be kidding me. A 2007 Salvo Foti wine. A museum piece. Wonderful Etna Rosso minerals, herbs, deep red fruit. Thank you Alex, for finding and gifting it. — a year ago

Classic Pouilly. What a time to be in Paris! Sitting on the balcony of my AirBNB enjoying the sounds of the Marais. Today restaurant, cafés and museum restrictions begin to ease. That alone is making this wine taste good. I’ll add tasting notes tomorrow, when my palate isn’t clouded by the shear weight of the moment. — 5 years ago
A museum release from the winery - I bought this at a Shaw and Smith tasting in Brisbane a few years ago. An asparagus note initially which blew off. Asian spices, raspberry, earthy mineral notes on nose, carrying through to the medium to full bodied palate. A nice balance between cool climate and warm climate characteristics. Finishes with a little astringency. — 5 years ago

It has been a yr and half of more since I’ve had the Launois Veuve Clemence. Still enjoy this quite a bit but I sense the 8g’s dosage more now versus the 2-6g’s dosage that I have gravitated.
It shows orange citrus blend, lime pulp, lemon zest to chiffon, grapefruit with pith, Bosc pear, red apple, pineapple, tropical melons, kiwi, white spice, gritty chalk, crispy volcanics, dry river stone, saline, sea fossils, limestone marl, notes of frothed whole milk, graham cracker crust, yellow & white flowers, jasmine mixed in greens, lively, crisp acidity, very well balanced, complex, good tension/structure and elegant finish that lasts minutes and long sets on spice and minerals.
100% Blanc de Blanc, Grand Cru vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and spent almost five years on lees, founded in 1872 and has passed through 8 generations.
If you go to Champagne, try & get an appointment. They have a huge historical champagne museum that is amazing.
