Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot of tremendously quality! drinking very well now but could go 5 more years easily. lovely fruit and enough grip to go with it. — 2 years ago
Medium yellow gold. Bracing, orange fruited, orange blossom, hint of pithy grapefruit, snappy nasturtium/peppery undertone. I feel the new world weight and breadth on the palate compared to the next wine.... — 6 years ago
A beautiful expression of pinot noir. — 7 years ago
Vanilla butterscotch lemon. Really nicely balanced. Delicious. Making Chardonnay fans here. — 8 years ago
Morgan Winery Double L Vineyard Tondre Grapefield Chardonnay 2023, Santa Lucia Highlands, California
Pretty color of gold.
Nose of citrus, yellow apples, melons, pears, light oak and light spices.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with limes, light oak, lemons, citrus, peaches, light vanilla, herbs and sea salt.
Long finish with limes and light grapefruits.
This is a delicious Chardonnay from Santa Lucia Highlands.
Elegant and rich. Fruit forward and complex.
This Single Vineyard Chardonnay is nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Soft, smooth and a tad buttery.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years and see how it evolves.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in (30% new) French oak barrels for 11 months. A small production of less than 2,400 bottles.
14.1% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits and nutty floral notes, 50% fruit from certified organic Double L estate, with the balance from McIntyre and Tondré vineyards. On the palate flavors of apple, pear, lemon citrus zest and melon, complex with mineral tones and soft and a bit creamy adding sweet spice. The wine was fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, well balanced on a long finish ending with fruit and mineral character. Nice! — a year ago
Beautiful nose. Very northern Rhone. Palate is pretty great too, not perfect. — 4 years ago
Surprisingly smooth — 7 years ago
This has California written all over the nose, sweet sourdough bread yeast.
Some sharp berry lies down the walkway for some other cool fruits to come a Prancin’- Bing cherry, mulberry, mint, raspberry licorice, and a highly vibrant kumquat acid that really shocks and awes.
Can u dig it?
Yes I can.
-edit- After some open air, this really shows a vegetal tone, like a shishito pepper stalk.. — 7 years ago

pine and blueberries, cranberry, orange, cinnamon. Not an intense nose. Needs some bottle age. Vanilla, coconut. Tastes a little hot. — 7 years ago

This is a pure Pinot Noir nose with strong cherry and spice aromas. The flavors coat the tongue and leads to along finish with citrus overtones. — 25 days ago
