The 2022 Chardonnay Arbois Patchwork was bottled in March 2024. Opening with some reduction, time in the glass unearths wet stone and lemon flesh aromas. The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Crémant du Jura BBF blends base wines from the 2018 and 2019 vintages. A single-varietal Chardonnay, it showcases intense oyster shell, ripe apple and pear as well as subtle brioche complexities. Widly complex, expectedly concentrated on the palate, and super intense on the nose. You could even smell it from across the room. Heaps of nuts, dried apricots, curry leaves, and iodine, along with hints of baked lemons, chamomile, yeast, and vinegar. Huge palate weight with enamel-melting acidity. It was rich, salty, spicy, nutty, and savoury. Frankly, the wine was way too young and certainly “too much” to drink alone, but with some 36-month Comte, it was just magical. — 8 months ago
Had Tissot’s cuvée a few weeks ago and loved it so decided to try their 100% Trousseau. Decanted for about 20 min before diving in as we felt the cuvée benefited from air as we drank it. Red cherry, raspberry, some strawberry. The funky fruit character in the beginning blows off as it sits. A wine you can sit with and drink academically but also easy enough to drink without thought and blissfully enjoy. — 2 months ago

Very good blend of 40% Trousseau, 15% Poulsard, 45% Pinot Noir. Similar to a full red burg Pinot. A little more funk and acidity. Cherry and dried cranberries, light body. Had it 2 nights in a row, with eggplant parm and salad. — 25 days ago
