One hour decant(min sediment). A forbidding dark crimson color. Served on the cool side. On the nose: smokey vanilla, dark cherry, baking spice, and a slight spearment menthol at the end. Taste: Hello!..not shy....cherry liqueur, cedar, graphite. A medium body, soft tannins, with a prune/vanilla dry medium plus finish. It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a nice one from Napa Valley.
Deep purple in color with a wide purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, black plums, cedar, vanilla, spices, licorice, chocolates, violets, light earth, tobacco and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with black currants, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, spices, coffee, vegetables, earth, chocolates, herbs, tobacco and peppercorn.
Medium plus in finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a spicy Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Gentle and easy to drink. Well balanced with mild complexity. Lighter than I expected and not the typical in your face kind of Napa Cabernet.
Good right out of the bottle and good by itself or with food. This 3 year old is already drinking very nicely, and would be nice to revisit in 5 years. Engaging and tasty.
A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Aged in French oak barrels for 20 months. A very small production of only 124 cases.
