Took a while for this cellar beauty to open up, but when it did the nose was PROMINENT and complex! Pale cranberry color with a deep ruby core, and light bricking to the edges, THR nose explodes forth with notes of vanilla, fresh leather, ripe plums, fig preserves, cologne like spice, hints of eucalyptus/menthol and violet, with hints of cedar chips over a full body. The palate is dry, but the tannins are smooth, with a surprising clean finish, with cranberry, blackberry and black tea, with lingering woody notes to the finish and a complex blend of florals and leather/velvet/cigar smoke peppered throughout, with maybe more unsweetened black tea at the veryyy end. — 9 months ago
Wonderful wine. One of my favorite vineyards. This is always a high quality wine. This one is still young but getting its legs. Vibrant and fresh if not yet rounded out. There is complexity that will only build. The length is good now but I know will be significantly longer in near term. Cherry. Fig. Eucalyptus. Loved this wine. Looking forward to sampling the next few I have over ensuing decade. — a month ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 3 days ago
