An exceptional wine that shows its age ability to endure and improve over time. The 2009 vintage has 76% Cab Sauv, 18% Merlot, 4% Cab Fran and 2% Petit Verdot and was aged for 15 months in French Oak barrels. Extremely opulent and luscious, though tannins were already falling, but its elegance and finesse was compelling. All ripe red fruits with a persistent perfumed aromas. Elongated finish with some fig notes as a bit of baked raisins. It can continue aging for another 15 years without compromising its elegance and complexity. This is a show stopper!! — 9 months ago

Medium lemon color, with Tropical and stone fruit aromas with complex spice and oak notes. On the palate flavors of ripe apple, melon and citrus, creamy, with toasty oak, fig and honey tones. Long finish ending with fruit, oak and spicy mineral character. A big wine! — 4 months ago

Wonderful wine. One of my favorite vineyards. This is always a high quality wine. This one is still young but getting its legs. Vibrant and fresh if not yet rounded out. There is complexity that will only build. The length is good now but I know will be significantly longer in near term. Cherry. Fig. Eucalyptus. Loved this wine. Looking forward to sampling the next few I have over ensuing decade. I didn’t notice any smoke taint FYI. — 2 years ago
Earthy and rich with leather, fig, and anise. — 7 months ago
Reminded me of boozy Brunello. Garrigue, cedar, dried black cherry and dried fig, cocoa, dried herbs… — 9 months ago
Here we have the Corison 2012 Kronos Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s deep garnet & overflowing with characteristics such as ripe blackberry, plum, cassis, blueberry, mulberry, black cherry, fresh purple fig, violet, rose, roasted bell pepper, star anise, cedar, sandalwood, vanilla, nutmeg, clove, leather, tobacco, crushed stones, and graphite.
On the palate it’s dry, with refreshing acidity, a medium (+) body, reserved alcohol (13.7% ABV), fine tannins and a lingering finish. It’s outstanding – balanced, layered, elegant, & powerful.

Light sweet and crisp more of a spring time wine than a fall but would definitely get again! — 2 months ago
