This was a great pairing with a salad with pine nuts Parmesan and dried cherries with balsamic dressing. Not tannic but good balance. Light but not without body. — 10 days ago
Made from 50 to 100 year old vines and matured for 18 months in small and large oak vessels, of which 20% are new. Medium-ruby, the 2020 Terre Nerre Calderara Sottana is introduced by a hauntingly fragrant scent of red and black cherries, wild blackberries, Mediterranean herbs and crushed granite rock. The medium to full-bodied palate is marked by a firm tannic structure, nervy tension and wonderful fruit complexity, closing with an elegant, persistent finish. Drink now until 2040. — 2 months ago

Youthful exuberance recedes a touch with a decant, but this wine has some growth ahead. Great texture and expressive nose, tannins will resolve with a touch of time and will only up the score. Red fruit but spicy, good salty notes on the palate and developing length of over a minute. Just entering the window but more is coming. I’d expect the next bottle to be even better. — a month ago
