Very tasty & well-structured, but at nearly $80-85/btl, I was expecting more. Hate to sound chincy, but there are a lot of surprising $30 btls & I’d gladly try 3 of those for the KB price tag. Had it w/ grilled salmon & grilled squid steak - well matched & held up w/ marinades. — 3 years ago
You know what? This wine is pretty good for $15 price tag! I like their motto: “a pessimist is never disappointed “. And that sums up my evaluation of the wine. Dark in the glass. Smells good, kind of like dusty ripe fruit. And it is tasting really nice! Sort of sweet, but thick dark and mysterious with a tannic bite. Boozy at 15.5% alcohol... hey, but some days, that is just what the doctor ordered... — 5 years ago
I hate to say it, but this stuff really is a higher class of vodka. No off, medicinal notes. No cloying artificial sweetness. It just tastes like the cleanest, purest spring water was made magically alcoholic. — 3 years ago
Rice vodka. Nice flavors — 5 years ago
Here’s the thing: this is good wine. It’s dense, chewy, and structured. There’s a nice balance of red and black fruit, graphite, cedar, mushroom, soil, and just a touch of Brett funk. It’s fairly tannic, so probably best with food, but can still be enjoyed on its own. I would never be mad if I was offered this. I was lucky to take home an open bottle from a job tonight, but I think the price tag on this is ridiculous. — 10 months ago
Vibrant dark cherries and cinnamon sparkle across the nose. Reminiscent of chilled crusty cherry pie tartlet. Has a lively and vivid mouthfeel like it’s fermentation is fresh and alive. Nice tart cherries fill the palate while subtle baking spice enhances the fruit. Serve slightly chilled for perfect holiday time Beaujolais that’s surprisingly wallet-friendly for this quality. www.freerunjuicewine.com — comment and tag me if you would like a discount code!
