Bright, effervescent red. Starts off kind of tasting like wet socks and then smooths and rounds out to dried apricot, green apple, and cinnamon, with a tart finish. Definitely something to worth chillingl! — a year ago
This is a teenager Cortese that decided to become a punk. But its parents accept the whims of the youth. So the rebelling spirit stays tamed. The bouquet is full of spoiled white plums, soaked white flowers, raw dough, kōcha kinoko, smoke, and pickles. To my taste, it lacks acidity (so not sure what destiny awaits this little rebel). Overall it is complex, multilayered, and even has some delicacy. And all these umami flavours (hello, mr Shiitake)! And the aftertaste of ripe, even baked fruits and pickles. A good find, for sure. — 4 years ago
One of the most reliable and affordable Verdicchio producer. It used to make just the one label you see here, but now they make another one from young vines and a rose if i am right.
I love the mineral expression of Matelica.
This came from a magnum. It was sensational, too easy too drink. It went so quickly you could miss what you were drinking and you could go back and keep asking...what was it? What was it?what was it?...and on and on and on....
I reckon when people think of a stereotype of good Italian wine this is what we should think of..at least i wish...Cheers!!! — a month ago

Beautiful tannins moderate acidity stone fruits — 3 years ago
Classic Verdicchio with pale lemon color and aroma of crisp apple, pear, lemon, fennel and wet stone. The high acidity is bracing and palate cleansing. More medium than light bodied and very easy to pair with food. Long finish, very clean and bright. — 4 years ago

vintage 2015 | Usually I am not a big fan of Amarone, but this wine grabbed me. A smell with broth and cacao. Very ripened. Supple taste. — 25 days ago
