What an intoxicating nose! There is strawberry and fig, there is blackberry and plum, there is garrigue and olive, there is a tiny touch of licorice too. Wow that's complex. The palate is very well made. There is a strong acid drive with a beautiful, blossoming fruit touch expanding as it goes, with blackberry and strawberry notes. There is a bit of weight and matter on the sides and a soft mouthfeel, almost like a cushion. The mid palate is a powehouse with a a nice tannins layer adding a bit of disruption on top of that cushiony mouthfeel. That continues in the finish for ever, with those fruity notes and that licorice, olive, garrigue combo that sparks joy with châteauneuf wines. You gotta love it! — 2 years ago

Pale yellow. Meyer lemon and ocean spray on the nose with a bit of brown sugar also. Pure electricity on the palate! Hits the tongue and sparks, the best lemon bars imaginable with notes of chalk, lemon grass, and a bitterness that reminds me of chioggia beets for some reason. Has a bit of hay that comes around also. Really different grüner, but so lovely and interesting. — 3 years ago
