Great aromatics on this one - raspberries, baking spice and I swear I get hints of bergamot. This is a big wine. There’s a slight sweetness on the entry, with concentrated flavors of blueberry, vanilla, and hints of mocha. Typical silky mouthfeel I’ve come to expect from hourglass. Great acidity here too. Impressive - especially given the vintage.

Medium to dark mix of garnet and ruby red. Layered nose with spices, cedar, dark fruits and black tea. Quite dark too. Medium tannins and medium plus to almost full bodied. Super extracted with lots of oaky influence. Layered with notes of cigar boxes, dark cocoa, plums, cherries, a touch of prunes and crushed rocks undertone. Long finish with quite a bit of power. Drink till 2020.

Grabbed for under $50.00 in PA.

2011 vintage. Deep and balanced, with a blackberry core of sumptuous fruit with a hint of thyme. Big fan. Bravo tbiagi

Found this Robert Foley gem at Sparks in Bryn Mawr. So fruity and delicious even right out of the bottle.

This isn't your average Merlot . This one is much more fruit concentrated , decent tannins, and acids . This also could sit for awhile and age pretty gracefully. As a Merlot I give it great marks !

Deep fruit and layers of flavor with great mid palate weigh. Delicious and reminds you that very good merlot should not get the "Sideways" treatment.
