Nice and dry. Lots of ox. Nutty, light caramel. — 9 months ago
Notes of plum, earth, soy sauce. I thought tannins were still fairly pronounced but not rough. Lovely pairing with our smoked abalone and black cod….. — 3 years ago

Really nice overall, but definitely lost quite a bit from night 1 to 2. Pretty refined but with great earth and body. Has a bit of a rounded crunchy fruit quality in a nice way. Nice pairing with chicken thighs with feta and olives but was probably a better pairing a few years ago. Still nice and always appreciate bize. — 5 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2020 pours a deep garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart fruits: Morello cherry, raspberry, cranberry, roses, tar, cool spices and dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I found this bottle to be a little shy for the first 30min or so but opened up nicely by the end of our meal. Drink now through 2040. — 9 months ago
A very unusual wine.
Nose: Malvasia but elegant. Floral. Tropical. Nice brine.
Palate: lightly tropical. But big mineraliaty. Good acidity.
Great briny finish.
A great pick. — 2 years ago

Had it at the Vegas Carbone restaurant, paired perfect with the Veal Parmigiana dish, bringing the red sauce to life. — 2 months ago
Mature, lots of fruit, concentration, vines planted in 1985. — 2 years ago
Aged and amber color. Really liked the aged taste. Wine transitions to water after some time. — 4 years ago
Los Pilares San Diego County Red Blend 2013: Fresh. Natural. Extraordinary. Consisting of 50% Grenache & 50% Carignan, this was a light-bodied, extremely unique wine. Red fruits (cranberry & cherry). Plum. Earth. Short finish. For me, the wine was a bit thin on structure but very clean & natural tasting. This was my first San Diego County wine and it left me quite intrigued & impressed. Hoping to explore other San Diego wines in the near future. Cheers🍷 — 5 years ago

GK? Medium to deep gold at 20+ years, slightly viscuous, fruity and moderately sweet but with plenty of refreshing acidity. Elegant summer sipper — 2 months ago
